John Langan

Professor John Langan taught writing and reading at Atlantic Cape Community College, New Jersey, for over 25 years. He obtained postgraduate degrees in reading and writing at Rowan University and a magna cum laude from LaSalle University before beginning his teaching career.

He has written several college textbooks on reading and writing in addition to being the coauthor of the best-selling The Longman Reader.

Through Townsend Press, his educational publishing company, he has created the nonprofit "Townsend Library," a collection of more than 100 new and classic stories that appeal to readers of all ages.
