Bob Dylan’s message of social transformation in the 60s continues to resonate today. Conveying the relevance of sociology in an ever-evolving world, Sociology in Our Times, 7th Canadian Edition, (PDF) acquaints students with the significance of understanding human behavior, society’s crucial issues, and the role social institutions play in our lives.

This extensively read textbook is cutting-edge, as it extensively covers a broad spectrum of classic and modern theories, fresh and relevant research works, and real-life experiences that reflect Canada’s diverse population. In addition, the book demonstrates the importance of sociology in tackling everyday contentious questions and issues.

The Seventh Canadian Edition addresses Canadian students’ concerns and perspectives by covering topics such as the income gap between the rich and poor, new family structures, shifting sexuality roles, and environmental concerns. Through the book, the authors hope to equip students with the critical skills needed to analyze and evaluate their social world and create a better society.

With a focus on applying sociological theory and research to everyday life, Sociology in Our Times 7E Canadian is tailored to meet the needs of Canadian students in this new era. Its ultimate goal is to help students identify urgent social issues and explore ways to solve them.
