The husband-and-wife Hoeger team has spent over four decades creating, innovating, and training together.

Dr. Werner W.K. Hoeger is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Kinesiology at Boise State University and a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine and the Research Consortium of SHAPE America (Society of Health and Physical Educators).

At the ages of twenty and twenty-four, Dr. Hoeger earned master's and doctoral degrees in the field of exercise science. Werner, a former All-American athlete and Winter Olympian, created several of the well-liked fitness assessment techniques still in use today, including the modified sit and reach, total body rotation, shoulder rotation, muscular endurance, and soda pop coordination tests.

Dr. Hoeger is a renowned expert and lecturer in the fields of exercise physiology, physical fitness, and wellness. He was given the Boise State University Presidential Award for Research and Scholarship.
