Lehne’s Pharmacology for Nursing Care, 12th Edition (ePub/PDF) helps nurses understand complicated medicine and how to apply it in real life. The ebook explains things like how the body works, what happens when it’s sick, and how different medicines function.

It teaches you the essential things about drug interactions and side effects, so you can focus on the most important information. Written by experienced nursing teachers Jacqueline Rosenjack Burchum and Laura D. Rosenthal, the book emphasizes clear comprehension of medicines and their use, rather than just memorizing facts and figures.

Safety Alerts highlight crucial safety information related to taking medicine, including contraindications, potential side effects, and more.

Person-Centered Care Across the Life Span tables offer guidance on providing safe and appropriate care for patients of all ages, from infants to older adults.

The writing is clear, engaging, and easy to understand, making complex pharmacology concepts enjoyable to learn.

Concise drug summary tables provide key information about each medicine, including its category, generic and brand names, dosages, administration routes, and uses.

Special Interest Topic boxes explore the everyday impact of pharmacology with captivating stories, such as “Vaping” and “Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (COVID-19) Vaccine.”

Nursing implications of drug therapy are integrated throughout the book, showing the connection between medication and nursing care. Key points are also summarized in Summary of Major Nursing Implications sections.

The Prototype Drugs approach focuses on representative agents that illustrate the characteristics of entire drug groups. This helps you apply your understanding to a wide range of related drugs, both currently available and those yet to be released.
