About The Author

Seth Stannard Cottrell

Seth Stannard Cottrell

Dr. Seth Cottrell was born in San Diego, moved around, and now lives in New York where he teaches math at CUNY. From an early age Seth has been the victim of his own curiosity which, and after many detours, earned his PhD in mathematics from NYU which he uses to understand physics.

For the last 10n years Seth has talked with complete strangers about whatever they want to know about physics, mathematics or whatever happens to come up and, when he knows the answer, has written about it.

This eBook is an intriguing amalgamation of conversations and exchanges between the author, Seth Stannard Cottrell, and various people. Based on the subject of mathematics and physics, the author, a researcher in mathematical physics, delves deep into complex science theories to provide simple and entertaining explanations for any curious mind. These questions come from various people around the world and range from the mundane to the philosophical.

Without indulging in the use of incomprehensible technical jargon and mysterious symbols, the author presents experiments, reasoning and mathematical equations in a casual, conversational, and comical tone. Neither too simple-paced nor too technical, this book presents lucid and entertaining writing that guides the reader from each question towards more comprehensive and understandable explanations of the universe and its bizarre characteristics.

This book has garnered high praise in advance from Ken Ono of Emory University, who has recommended it to all high-school science teachers. He suggests that this book should be used as an educational tool to enhance a student’s scientific knowledge beyond a typical dry curriculum. Moreover, the articles within this book are so enjoyable that he found himself laughing out loud every 2 to 3 minutes.
