About The Author

Jason Overby

Dr. Jason Overby received his B.S. degree in chemistry and political science from the University of Tennessee at Martin. Jason then received his Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry from Vanderbilt University (1997) studying main group and transition metal metallocenes and related compounds. Afterwards, Dr. Overby conducted postdoctoral research in transition metal organometallic chemistry at Dartmouth College. Dr. Overby began his academic career at the College of Charleston in 1999 as an assistant professor. Currently, Jason is an associate professor with teaching interests in general and inorganic chemistry. He is also interested in the integration of technology into the classroom, including the use of online homework. Additionally, he conducts research with undergraduates in organic and inorganic synthetic chemistry as well as computational organometallic chemistry.

Dr. Raymond Chang (late) earned his B.Sc in chemistry from London University (UK) and his Ph.D. in chemistry from Yale University (USA). After doing postdoctoral research at Washington University and teaching for a year at Hunter College, Dr. Chang joined the Chemistry Department of Williams College. He wrote many great books on industrial chemistry, physical science, college chemistry and physical chemistry etc
