If you are a nursing student or a professional nurse who wants to succeed on the NCLEX or in practice, Pharmacology: A Patient-Centered Nursing Process Approach, 9th Edition is the perfect eBook for you. This eBook uses a streamlined prototype approach and nursing care focus to make it easier for readers to comprehend the complex subject of pharmacology. The eBook contains a detailed chapter on dosage calculation, a nursing process framework for strong QSEN focus, drug therapy, and summaries of prototype drugs to form a solid pharmacology foundation.

With an improved overall organization, updated prototype drug charts, more streamlined content, a new chapter on transplant drugs, new and updated critical thinking case studies, expanded information on cultural considerations, and much more, the eBook is designed to help readers put their best foot forward when it comes to nursing pharmacology on the NCLEX and in practice.

Some features that make this eBook unique include QSEN focus that stresses patient-centered care, safety, quality, and collaboration, cultural considerations icons that emphasize important cultural considerations in the Nursing Process sections, and coverage of prioritization that helps readers learn to prioritize nursing care and differentiate between need-to-know and nice-to-know content.

Moreover, illustrated overviews of normal physiology and anatomy open every unit to offer a critical foundational review of how drugs work in each body system. The extensive, color-coded Drug Calculations chapter provides six methods of dosage calculation, offering a helpful review and supplement to a dosage calculations textbook. There is also a chapter on quality and safety that discusses medication errors, National Patient Safety Goals, specific nursing measures to promote safety, and many other safety issues and concerns.

Finally, the Nursing Process summaries provide patient care and drug therapy within the framework of every step of the nursing process, including information on patient teaching and cultural considerations.
