David Bock, Paul Velleman, and Richard De Veaux collaborated to create the 4th edition of “Intro Stats” with the intention of making it an enjoyable read for both instructors and students. The authors maintain a humorous, conversational and informal writing style, which engages students right from the start. Throughout the text, the authors emphasize statistical thinking, and relying on technology for calculations enables students to concentrate on developing their conceptual understanding.

The innovative Show/Think/Tell examples provide a problem-solving framework and a methodology for thinking through statistics problems and delivering effective results. The new streamlined presentation of the fourth edition keeps students focused on what’s essential while including useful features. The updated organizational structure breaks down the chapters into sections, with clear learning objectives that help students to stay on track. The comprehensive table of contents allows for easy navigation through the new layout.

Single-concept exercises accompany the existing mid- to hard-level exercises to promote skill development. If you require the Test Bank or other instructor resources, please contact the authors.
